The Forum of Young Professionals (FYP) is a non-political, international-standard platform uniting Bangladesh’s young professionals (25–55) — including doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, and innovators — to foster leadership, research, and collaboration for an inclusive and self-reliant Bangladesh

Chapter I: Preliminary

Section 1: Name

The name of the organization shall be Forum of Young Professionals (FYP).

Section 2: Nature

FYP is a non-political, non-profit, international-standard, voluntary professional organization, registered under applicable laws.

Section 3: Office

The principal office shall be located in Dhaka. Branch offices may be established within Bangladesh and abroad as required.

Chapter II: Objectives & Activities

Section 4: Objectives

  1. Unite young professionals to build an international-standard network.
  2. Promote rights, interests, and opportunities for professionals.
  3. Act as a non-partisan pressure group in policymaking and decision processes.
  4. Advance research, training, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
  5. Ensure international cooperation and global exposure for professionals.

Section 5: Activities

  1. Organize national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops.
  2. Engage in policy collaboration with public and private institutions.
  3. Conduct networking, mentorship, research, and publication programs for members.
  4. Undertake CSR, sustainable development, and policy advocacy initiatives.
  5. Cooperate with international bodies, universities, and research institutes.

Chapter III: Membership

Section 6: Eligibility
  1. Bangladeshi citizens or foreign nationals aligned with FYP’s objectives.
  2. Age between 25 and 50 years.
  3. Engaged in a recognized profession.
  4. Comply with FYP policies and Code of Conduct.
  1. General Member — annual subscription fee.
  2. Life Member — one-time fee.
  3. Associate Member — non-resident Bangladeshis / overseas professionals.
  4. Honorary Member — conferred for exceptional national or international contribution.
  1. Exercise voting rights (as applicable).
  2. Participate in meetings and programs.
  3. Provide input to organizational initiatives.
  4. Pay fees/subscriptions on time.
  1. Membership may be terminated for moral misconduct, activities contrary to FYP’s interests, or non-payment of dues.
  2. Termination requires approval by a two-thirds majority of the National Committee.

Chapter IV: Organizational Structure

Section 10: Unit Structure
  1. Profession-based Units shall be formed.
  2. Each Unit shall elect a Unit Head by direct vote.
  3. Unit Heads shall be members of the National Committee.
  1. The National Committee shall be composed of all Unit Heads.
  2. It is the highest policy-determining authority of FYP.
  3. It approves policy, budget, international cooperation, and key decisions.
  1. The Chair shall be elected by members of the National Committee.
  2. The Chair serves as Chief Executive.
  3. Other members shall serve as Directors with portfolios (Policy, Research, Finance, Communications, International Relations, Membership Development, etc.).

Chapter V: Election System

Section 13: Elections

  1. Unit Heads shall be elected by direct vote of Unit members.
  2. The Chair shall be elected by all Unit Heads.
  3. Term of office: two (2) years.
  4. No more than two consecutive terms in the same position.
  5. Elections shall be conducted by an independent Election Commission.

Chapter VI: Meetings

Section 14: Meetings

  1. The National Committee shall meet at least once every three months.
  2. Unit meetings shall be held at least once a month.
  3. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held once a year.
  4. Emergency meetings may be convened by the Chair as needed.

Chapter VII: Finance & Assets

Section 15: Sources of Funds

  1. Membership subscriptions/fees.
  2. Donations and grants.
  3. Legitimate support from international organizations and development partners.
  4. Project-based income streams.

Section 16: Financial Management

  1. All transactions shall be conducted through official bank accounts.
  2. No expenses shall be valid without National Committee approval.
  3. Each Unit shall contribute 50% of membership subscriptions and designated donations to the National Fund for national programs.
  4. Annual financial audit is mandatory at the end of each fiscal year

Chapter VIII: Amendment of the Constitution

Section 17: Amendment

  • Proposed amendments approved by the National Committee shall be presented at the AGM.
  • Amendments become effective upon approval by a two-thirds majority of members present.
